Imax Theatre

The World Theatre
This complex houses travelling exhibitions of art, photography and sculpture, as well as hosting live shows and musical performances. 82-90 Mosmon Street, Charters Towers (07 4787 4344).
Townsville Civic Theatre
Operated by Townsville Council this venue hosts a range of productions, including dance, opera, drama and comedy. Some of Australia's top touring companies have performed on the stage here. 41 Boundary Street, South Townsville (07 4727 9013).
Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre
This complex is Townsville's main entertainment complex. It plays host to big international and national bands and acts. The huge auditorium can seat over 5000 patrons, and there are also venues that host exhibitions and dramatic performances and sport. Entertainment Drive, Breakwater Island (07 4771 4222).
